“We recently used the multi storey car park as they were offering great advance booking deals which saved the stress of finding a space in the long stay area and the subsequent long hike to the terminal. However, on arrival the system didn't recognise our booking, so we had to press the intercom for assistance. As our booking confirmation was in the boot, we had to take a ticket and hope we could sort it out on the way out. When we exited the car park one week later we were presented with a charge of £230, but after quoting our booking reference, which we then had with us, the barrier was raised and we were on our way. Tip: Have your booking reference handy when you enter the car park.”
“i had pre booked car park but when I arrived automatic machine wasn't working. Pressed help button and was told there was a problem that morning and was issued a ticket and told to quote my reference on return. Even though it was only 04.15 am we found it very difficult to find a car space. I am not sure what happens if all spaces were full. Might put me off going again. No problem exiting, gave intercom my no and battier lifted. Very conveniently located to airport. Passport control was excellent and there was a good variety of shops and restaurants. We fly mostly from Manchester but experience from Liverpool was much better and quicker. My only concern as I have already said is the parking.”
“Car park was good,not impressed by the fact that you now charge £2.00 for drop off and with all the yellow lines etc just looks like just trying to make as much money as you can I have alwatys told people to use Liverpool as it is generally a really good airport do not think this does you any favours..Manchester does not charge for dropping off and is a bigger airport so”
“the automatic barriers did not work on 3 of my last 4 visits and on 1 occasion it to a long time to get assistance and have the exit barrier lifted which is embarrising when a queue forms
behind your vehicle.I feel that's not good enough for a prepay system. I also would like to know why its not possible to dropoff/ pick up without incurring charges? this has encouraged some friends to use Manchester as a point of principle.”
“Overall I was happy with the car parking facility at the airport. The only thing I can recommend is that when you book a plan is sent via email of the layout of the car park.”
“The only problem for me was upon leaving the car park that I had pre booked online, the machine took my ticket and tried to charge me an extra £25 pounds, so I spoke to the guy on the intercom who asked me for my booking reference number. Luckily I had not thrown that piece of paper away otherwise I would have been paying £70 for my parking and not what the internet offer was. SO be warned, keep a note of your reference number with you. Other than that, close to airport and simple to find.”
