“Horrible service. We had pre-booked a week in the parking lot, our flight was cancelled and we spent about 2 hours in the lot but did not receive anything back. Contacted the parking services to explain the circumstances and they were completly unsympathetic, had their money and could care less.
Will not use the lots again.”
“We pre booked a space in the long stay car park at Liverpool but no spaces were available. We had to park in the smart car park . There was no advice or support. Then when we came back we had to pay extra because we parked in wrong parking. Staff was unkind and impolite.”
“Cannot give NO STARS!!. No one meets you or greets you! The directions are misleading, they direct you onto a long stay car park with no access to the drop off, so do the signs and writing on the road. You have to pay £12 to exit the long stay to try again. No one to assist or speak with. Absolute joke, no service. Don't bother, use the other car parking and save money.”
“Very poor experience, especially considering the exhorbitant price - £52.99 for three days!!!
1 The confirmation email for 'Park Smart' contains the statrement:
Postcode: L24 1YD
What3words: ///prank.dart.scream
That postcode takes you the WRONG car park at completely the OPPOSITE side of the airport!!
2 When I finally arived at the correct park entrance, the barrier would not work - and it then became clear from the conversation with your colleague at the entrance that she could not find our booking!! This might explain why the car park was full to bursting when we drove in - and had to park at the furthest corner - you dont have a handle on capacity because of lost bookings!!!
3 Describing it as 'onsite parking' therefore is stretching it somewhat!!
No wonder the airport has a problem with people using the surrounding estates as car parks! I wont be recoomennding it to anyone after our recent experience.”
“Complete rip off, parked there for a week and on exiting followed the exit sign to the barrier. Only the barrier didn’t open and said I owed £160 because I went out the wrong exit. Pressed the button on the barrier on the operator said he’d let me out for £16 and said he’d done me a favour. What a rip off, make your exit signs clearer, I should have reversed up but was to tired after flight so just paid. Disgusting profiteering.”
“The Fast track parking access was very unlear.
As I was in a rush I ended up havng to pay for long stay parking as it was not clearly instructed in confirmation email how to access the fast track. Im now out £120”
“Booked online, turned out I had the wrong parking. We're foreigners in a old MG, which better is stored inside. Had to pay on the spot for the right one (£58 a day!) but wanted to get the original booking rebooked or refunded. Tried contacting Liverpool Airport Parking to fix that, not one reply at all. Nothing. Different mail adresses that are on the website, NOTHING! For 58 a day you can at least answer your mails...”
“I left my present for my wife on the floor in reception. Went back to see if it had been handed in. It hadnt. I was told i would get a phone call or email as i left my contact details because they would look thro cctv . I never got anything. My car should have been parked in C8 . It wasnt i was walking around the carpark in the rain trying to find my car. Regarding my lost bag , any contact from the carpark people would have been nice.”
“Meet and greet was a joke. No one to meet you and no human anywhere in site when we picked the car up. Was expecting the car to be where we dropped it off when we arrived back. Instead we had to spend 40 minutes searching poorly sign posted car parks trying to find it. Meet and greet isn't what it says on the tin it's a complete con.”
“I was really unpleasantly surprised to notice a scratch on the leather steering wheel. Really disappointed. Unfortunately, I have noticed it shortly after we left the parking lot.”
“Booked a short stay for a few days and followed all instructions. Arrived 3am at the car park (Short Stay) but the barrier woulnd't open. Tried the intercom several times to no avail. At this point there was a queue behind us and we couln't reverse the car, so the only option was to press the ticket button. Because we have wasted so much time trying to connect through the intercom we ran out of time and had to park which turned to be the Multistorey Car Park otherwise we were risking missing our flight (also first time experiance at John Lennon Airport!). Upon return we found out- thanks to a VERY rude member of staff over the intercom that we have indeed parked on the wrong car park and we have to pay a hefty fee of £35! This was 'apparently' the difference between the car park we booked (short stay) and the multistorey- which is a total lie as I do remeber when choosing the car park the difference between the two mentioned was £5!!! Extremely rude staff, absolute zero emphaty and understanding for a genuine mistake made! I would never EVER use this Airport and the car park, the markings are confusing and the email recived was also very confusing leading up to our costly mistake. Absolute disgrace! I booked a Short Stay and followed the lines to the car park 'SHORT STAY'!! I DO NOT reccomend this car park and the rude staff.”
“Pre booked online for a 2 week stay. As I pulled into to the car park I spoke to the operator and asked if I was in the right car park as the barrier didn’t automatically let me in. He assured me I was and lifted the barrier to which I parked up for a 2 week duration. Upon my arrival after my holiday I approached the barrier once again and the barrier again did not open to let me exit. I then spoke to the operator yet again to ask why I couldn’t exit to which I was told I had parked in the wrong car park and would have to pay a fee of £300.00 to which, I declined and said I had been assured I was in the right car park when I arrived 2 weeks prior. She then proceeded to do some checks and told me it wouldn’t be £300.00 to exit but it would be £30.00. Absolutely disgusting service and I would like an explanation and a full refund. Regards, Mr. Davey.”
“Paid for parking at Liverpool, they didn’t direct me to where so thought it was where we always park. Drove and parked in long stay. On return drive out but barrier didn’t let me out and wanted to charge £220. Spoke to chap on buzzer, told him paid for parking, charged me £22 on top of what I paid to get out. Lack of info when paid as to where I should park. I would now consider Manchester over Liverpool. Out of 10 I would give 1. Not happy”
“We paid for Meet & Greet Parking and on return to collect the vehicle we found it reversed approximately 2mm away from a lampost. When moving the vehicle forward to get cases in the boot, there was a small scratch directly in line of the lampost. It had obviously caught the lampost and then been moved forward slightly when realising.
Given the vehicle has 360degrees cameras and multiple sensors I hope this was just a really poor driver rather than someone with a complete lack of care.
Won't be using again.”
“Signage really poor paid for premium parking with fast track ended up in short stay for approx 1 minute paid £6 to get out went into long stay didn’t recognise my reg as per booking. On leaving had to pay £103 to get out as still didn’t recognise my reg. Emailed in about this heard nothing back”
