“Booked parking in advance. Didn't really notice the tiny wording on the booking confirmation that said 'park smart'. Booking confirmation said barrier will lift automatically on entry. Haven't flown from John Lennon for a while, so assumed that parking was in the long stay section. Got stuck in the one way system on approach to long stay car park . Waited for barrier to lift but it didn't. Had to enter the drop off section to get out of one way system and paid six pounds for the privilege. Thankfully, a nearby taxi driver was able to direct us to the smart park section.”
“Everything was so easy - Booking online, accessing the car park (barrier lifted automatically on entry/exit) finding a space and then only a short walk to the terminal.
I also felt my car was safe while I was away. I spotted one car that had protective film over one of the windows and wondered what had happened, but when I got closer there was a note to say the driver had left it open slightly and it had been put on to protect it from the rain.”
“Stayed at the safe park, easy access and although this a fairly large area you do have to hunt for a space. Some of the spots are a bit tight, that maybe due to some questionable parking.”
“I can’t complain about the actual parking experience, we have used this for all our flights however on returning home we had received a parking notice fine, the photos showed we were about half an inch on the drivers side white line, the area next to our car wasn’t a parking space so it’s not as though we selfishly parked , spoiled the whole experience really as we have never had an issue there before.”
“Arrived 10 mins early but got straight through into the car park, easy to find, plenty of spaces and short walk to airport. Easy, convenient, affordable. Didn’t worry about my car being secure at all.”
“The parking is fine, BUT Park Smart is really not that obvious on the map that you issue when booking, perhaps colour the area in the same colurs as the par smart branding so that a customer can make the instant connection. , I also clearly must have missed the signage on the approach to the airport and ended up at the long stay instead causing a bit of a panic and rush.
The free drop off area is outstanding and sets you apart from other UK Airports”
“I parked in the long stay car park which I thought was right it wasn't until I got on holiday that I saw a email from you it had gone into my spam box, so that ment I was parked in the wrong car park i had paid in advance for the parking so it meant on my return I had to pay a extra £29 which I was not happy with”
