“The Park Smart area not signposted and we parked in what turned out to be wrong area after following directions. This should be marked clearly. We just followed long stay and saw no seperate Park Smart and still dont know where it is for future.”
“Car park easy to find; bit of search for a space but found one after 5 mins or so. Barrier slow to let me out on return. Quite expensive to park now but aren't they all!”
“I tried to extend my car park stay by 24 hours but it wouldn’t allow me to do it on the app so I had to book a whole new stay which cost me more money.”
“Parking was fine but I was delayed by half an hour and was charged an extra £25. I understand that you have to pay if you are longer than what you book but it seems an extremely excessive charge for a half hour”
“Getting in and out was easy but I was very surprised that it was a flat car park and not multistory.
Therefore you get wet and have to walk forever to get to the terminal.”
“First time using this airport we found the entrance signage confusing leaving us with a long walk to departures. After returning at 1 am we found the exit signs and directions sadly lacking and difficult to follow.”
“I thought the charges for 3 days was extortionate.
Aldo I’m disabled and was unable to find a place in a disabled bay , I had to find another bay only to find I was unable to get in my vehicle on my return because the vehicle adjacent was parked about 3inch away from my door.
Therefore I had to get help getting in via the passenger side .so all in all a disaster”
“Not as close to the terminal as it says, about a 10-15 minute walk. The address given takes you to a different car park. There's no designated spots so you could end up and the very back or the carpark which is another 10 minutes of walking. Open carpark so not the most secure but the car was fine after a few days and it was a cheap price compared to other car parks and services. Just keep in mind the walking because It's longer than stated.”
“Everything is great EXCEPT when you come to park - the car parking space need to be wider as trying to park, when there is a space next to your pillars is very very very very difficult”
“We have parked at the airport several times in the past and have always parked on the same car park. We prebooked the car aprk came to the airport on the 28 April. The barrier opened and we parked as usual. However, on leaving hte airport the barrier would not open and it said we owed £180. On speaking to someone on the intercom, we were told we had parked on the wrong car park and should have looked at the map on the booking details. He let us pay £20 rather than the £180 as we had already paid £126 to park for 9 nights. I appreciate that it was our mistake but, in my opinion, the barrier should not have opened to let us in initially. It is supposed to ecognise the car registration. The car parks are next to one another and it was an easy mistake to make.”
“I find the meet and greet very useful, but as I'm not brilliant with the technology, you have to use, I find it very stressful. Having someone on hand to help, would make things much better.”
“Its a long way to the terminal for me to walk. I can use tje long stay and get as close to the terminal so I don't think it's economical.
Meet & Greet at other airports i have used do actually meet you at yhe drop off and pickup points.”
“Hi I found it unclear as to which car park I had booked . I presumed the long stay - wrong . The staff were very helpful and only charged me an extra 2.00 per day . Still cheaper that not Pre booking. . I would use again but pay more attention to which car park I was booking”
“I used Meet and Greet where usally use Smart Parking. Meet and Greet was harder to find as no directional signage on the site itself so ended up in woring car park and having to pay. Then once in office to check car in, lack of humna support is not the best when feeling anxious in first instance. Will go back to Smart Parking which is just as near and easier as park up, take own keys and walk same distance (and cheaper).”
