“used meet and great for the first time at Liverpool.
Not impressed by the distance we had to walk from car park to the terminal and back when we returned.
Glad it was not raining.
Will either use the normal carpark which is a short walk or revert back to Manchester”
“Car park was reasonably priced and easy to find but we had a disabled person but needed to take the disabled badge on the flight for use abroad. Signs tell you to go to the car park office. We spent an hour looking for and asking all staff where this office was but no one on the staff knew. We eventually had to drive out of disabled and leave the car in a distant corner and struggle.”
“The number plate recognition camera did not allow me into the car park. I also scanning tried the QR code from my phone, but this also failed with a message saying it was not recognised.
I pressed the assistance button but had no answer. I had to press for a ticket to enter
On my return, the assistant was helpful and used by booking reference as a means to verify my booking
Overall, the experience was not great”
“Parking space was hard to find. A large number were cordoned off with cones. On the plus side, it is close to the check-in hall and price was okay, but not exceptional.”
“I rebooked online for the multi-storey, which was fine but when I tried to leave, the post by the barrier said I had to pay £174. After speaking to someone, I eventually resolved the matter.”
“Whilst parked at this airport, I came back to find that my spare tyre had been robbed. This was a bit of a shock as when initially booking I checked to see what the security status was, and it said 24/7 onsite security which was not visible in the slightest. The car park says fenced off and secure yet it is very easily accessible on foot. I will not be using it again unfortunately”
“My flight was rescheduled 2.5 hours later and I phoned to adjust my arrival and departure times for Meet and Greet accordingly. The phone number was chargeable as an 0845 number and cost me £3. I was advised that the amendment could be made but would cost an additional £19. I was also told that if I was more than 4 hours later than booked it would cost another £25...I decided to risk leaving the booking as it was...disappointed with the whole situation and then to find all automated with no staff there when dropping off or picking up....hardly meet and greet....”
“Unhappy. Parked in disabled spot. Needed to take badge etc as going to a funeral & needed parking. Arrived back to a Privacy Notice saying that you felt the car was parked illegally. Emailed to say that we are disabled badge holders. No response to date. Over a week now.”
“Very difficult to find for the first time; its advertised on the Airport website but on approach to the airport there's no directions on an any sign indicating 'Meet & Greet', very different and much clearer at Manchester airport, on arrival and parking up there's no staff advising you where to go for key drop off.”
“Poor signage to find the car parking.
Rude member of staff female on the car park barrier whom we spoke to on arrival to park the car- we were told at the wrong car park but was not given advice where to park correctly then phone was put down. Lots of cars now behind us so we pressed the tannoy again only to be told to reverse!!!!
Shocking customer care. We asked another traveller in the queue who advised us where the long stay parking was.
We tried to report the matter on arriving in the airport but was told no customer liaisons office?
On return to car park after trip again the barrier would not open on scanning the issued ticket- this time the chap was very helpful.
Poor experience of first time using Liverpool airport”
“Very busy carpark but managed to get a space eventually.
On exit I had to use the intercom to leave I don't know why the barrier didn't open.
When I looked at ticket I was given on entry the reg had been printed wrong even though my booking reg was correct. The machine wanted to then charge me £90 to exit which was very frustrating as I had already paid to park.
Maybe you have some gremlins in the system I will think twice about parking there again.”
“Warning! It appears that when paying in advance, you are not actually reserved a parking space. Drove around several times before fortunatally, I found a space, however this was by luck. So you could end up paying for a space and not actually getting one, leaving the stress of finding another carpark and getting to the checkin in time. Also, not sure if you can claim your mony back if there was no space available.
It it was also not clear how to get out of the carpark, due to lack of spaces. Also a couple of cars had parked on a designated walkway which was not helpful with luggage.”
“For drop and go parking the promised support with members of staff didn’t materialise. On scanning ticket the machine asked for return flight number but couldn’t find it. Was no staff around to help, no desk to go to and no help button to press. Took 15 mins for someone to turn up (this was 6am) and help. They said “this happens sometimes, don’t know why”! They input another flight number of flight arriving about same time.
Walk to terminal is uncovered and dark (I got wet).”
“Exit signs very difficult to follow, especially at 2am in the dark. I thought the whole place was very scruffy and not well looked after. A bit of a disappointment!”
“Disappointed in meet and greet service. Finding on way out was easy. On way back signage very poor, nothing in terminal said meet and greet. Also felt like we'd paid extra for a normal carpark. Was no meet or greet car waiting as far away as the other places. No one around to ask when we couldn't remind car on arrival back.”
