“Confirmation received but camera did not recognise number plate, tried to make contact whilst away but no reply, thankfully on exit spoke to attendant and booking reference was recognised, was worried during holiday that I had parked in wrong area or was going to have to pay again”
“Was not happy I parked at airport for 5 days when I returned I had to pay a £30 fine because I parked in wrong carpark. Not happy wouldn’t park again”
“paid upfront
car registration wasn't recognised.
had to pay to get in as late for check in
went back after checking in pressed the help button on the entrance.
lady said doesn't know why but pay now for the new ticket ,cost £8.
same thing happened again on way out number plate wasn't recognised, this time pressed the help button, said doesn't know why barrier never lifted
he lifted the barrier for us”
“Near to the airport building but a little unclear on arrival if I was in the correct place or if I had a designated spot. The help button at the barrier did not work and there was no one to ask.”
“Every time i park here albeit its close the barrier camera does not recognise you and we go through the same rigmorale each time having to speak to an advisor, searching through the emails etc etc.......all what you dont need when landing back from a well deserved break!”
“Hi, we used your meat and great car park at the airport which which was supposed to be very secure with security and CCTV there was nobody there for to meet you and anybody could drive in and drive out of the car park. As there was no barriers at all to drive out as Liverpool has a high percentage of high value. Cars stolen won’t be parking by £85,000 car there no more”
“Entry was confusing regarding entrance to long stay. Exit signage needs to be improved and when we came to the gate there was no response to the call button as the barrier did not rise. Frustrating after a long flight!”
“Car Park is fine until they changed systems while I was away and forced me to pay £85 to exit after I’d spent £55 to stay in the first place. Luckily customer service have acted swiftly and hopefully I am refunded soon but this was an experience I shan’t forget. The system wasn’t broken, why fix it?”
“Dreadful signage to Meet and Greet parking. No chance to go round if you miss the sign
Poor signage in the collection hut. Towers for collecting keys are labelled at the bottom instead of the top. Brilliant if you are 2 years old, otherwise no use”
“M&G was so poorly signposted and the post code being the same as other parkings, I accidentally went into Drop-off area, and had to pay 5 pounds to get out of it. The instruction given by the email was not very clear either.
There was nobody at the M&G and all automated - it worked in the end but felt a bit unsure especially knowing there was no number that I can call if things didn't work.”
“Automatic number plate reader didn't work going in which leaves you sat there with cars coming in behind you and getting impatient, no problem when l actually spoke to someone in the control room, Had a problem coming out, was told to bend my ticket in half and only use the QR code bit to get out ?”
“New system in place but signage still says you must get a ticket on entry - confusing. On exit it tried to charge me £58. Intercom man asked where my ticket was, told him i didnt get one the asked me how i got in!?!?.....told him they the system he is working on is new and doesnt issue tickets - took ages to let me out......needs sorting out”
“Your cameras read our clean, undamaged standard plate DG58TVW as. D658TVW. This has never happened anywhere before in our 15year ownership of the car. We were finally "saved" on our return to Liverpool by a kind member of your staff, having felt obliged to press for a ticket to enable us to park, as we were unable to locate the intercom in the darkness.
Would our plate be misread if we decided to book again?
Could this happen to other vehicles?”
“Difficult to find exact location not brilliantly signposted early, or I missed it! Also on exiting the airport I was expecting to leave the same doorway I entered and this was closed causing me to have to walk round”
“Parking signage on approach to airport is misleading especially for pre-booked long stay.
Signage to the exit barriers once in the long stay is absent.
At the exit barrier, I was told that I owed £70 for 24 hrs parking despite having pre booked and prepaid. Apparently I had pressed a ticket button rather than the enquiry button when entering. No clear instructions at the barrier, so I expect this happens a lot. Nice little earner LJLA.”
