“Anpr was not working..
Had to press help button on way in, man found our booking and said tske ticket.
When leaving a different man couldnt find our booking then told is off for taking a ticket which we were told to do.. also the 2nd man was quite rude in manners.”
“Getting in to car park no issues, barrier open. Getting out was the problem. Barrier did not open and had to wait. At to press intercom then wait for them to check To see if I had paid was not happy.”
“Booking, directions including colour coding was fine, in fact very good. Unfortunately the colour coding wasn’t as good in the actual car park, as I inadvertently parked in a restricted zone for pedestrians. The zebra crossing white markings had all but disappeared and the red of the ‘spaces’ themselves was hardly distinguishable from the normal bays. Needless to say I received a fine, which has left a very sour taste in the mouth and tainted what was otherwise a good experience. You could say I should appeal the fine, and maybe I should have…. I would much prefer the road markings and signage were clearer from the outset, and maybe my £60 will go towards remedying that (although I have my doubts about that unfortunately).”
“Very disappointed. Arrived and there were virtually no spaces, had to drive round for a good lap to find a space. On return I had put 11:15am instead of 11:15pm. Was an honest mistake and would have been the same price if I hadn’t made mistake. I was charged an extra £15 on return to exit the car park. So disappointed”
“Whilst the location, convenience and ease of use were very good I feel that the parking fees are excessive (£33.99 for less than 24 hrs) and unjustified.”
“Parked in drop and go parking, very difficult to find with limited signage. Actually had to pay £10 to drive through the incorrect car park because of issues finding drop and go.
Despite booking the system wasn't finding my booking reference or car registration number. However car park attendant was very helpful and sorted this quickly.”
“Liverpool Airport advertise Fast Track Parking as "ultra-convenience and exclusivity! A guaranteed space and a covered walkway that leads you to your own Terminal Entrance" but what they don’t tell you is that the “special terminal entrance” is locked each evening at a time when inbound aircraft are still arriving with passengers who might expect it to still be open.
The problem I’m told is that security are instructed to lock the door when the last departing flights check in has closed. I’ve looked at two days inbound and outbound flight schedules (today and yesterday) and according to my calculations there are 21 flights (circa 3000 people) that are likely to arrive on flights that are too late to use the “special terminal entrance” during that 2 day period.
I recognize that not everyone will have paid for Fast Track Parking but I’m quite sure that those who have will not have been notified of any restrictions for using the “special entrance”.
I felt particularly annoyed for a wheelchair user who was looking after the luggage while his wife went looking for a member of staff to open the door. I’m a pensioner with limitations but at least I can still walk back and go round the outside of the terminal building however I wouldn’t need to if the Airport had been clear about its restrictive policy when I was making the booking.
I wrote to Liverpool Airport more than a week ago asking for a full refund of my parking fees but received a negative response together with an explanation that the door was locked at a time dictated by security policy which is not being shared with customers at time of booking.
I have asked for my concerns to be escalated to Liverpool Airport CEO and would encourage others to support my efforts to encourage Liverpool Airport to keep the access doors open until “close of business” or provide full refunds to all customers who are impacted by this poorly thought through solution.”
“Confirmation received but camera did not recognise number plate, tried to make contact whilst away but no reply, thankfully on exit spoke to attendant and booking reference was recognised, was worried during holiday that I had parked in wrong area or was going to have to pay again”
“Was not happy I parked at airport for 5 days when I returned I had to pay a £30 fine because I parked in wrong carpark. Not happy wouldn’t park again”
“paid upfront
car registration wasn't recognised.
had to pay to get in as late for check in
went back after checking in pressed the help button on the entrance.
lady said doesn't know why but pay now for the new ticket ,cost £8.
same thing happened again on way out number plate wasn't recognised, this time pressed the help button, said doesn't know why barrier never lifted
he lifted the barrier for us”
“Near to the airport building but a little unclear on arrival if I was in the correct place or if I had a designated spot. The help button at the barrier did not work and there was no one to ask.”
“Every time i park here albeit its close the barrier camera does not recognise you and we go through the same rigmorale each time having to speak to an advisor, searching through the emails etc etc.......all what you dont need when landing back from a well deserved break!”
“Hi, we used your meat and great car park at the airport which which was supposed to be very secure with security and CCTV there was nobody there for to meet you and anybody could drive in and drive out of the car park. As there was no barriers at all to drive out as Liverpool has a high percentage of high value. Cars stolen won’t be parking by £85,000 car there no more”
