“There were no available disabled parking places on our arrival due to work being carried out in that area. The only parking available wasto the far left of the terminal and involved a long walk with a dissabled person. We booked this well in advance and have used the airport many times, around three times a year. It may improve customer awareness if pre bookers are notified of such major changes that effect essential parking i.e. for people with disability.”
“Very annoyed after finally getting through auto barriers we (my husband & I ) searched for a parking space for over twenty minuets along with other prepaid users, in the end we ended up using an unmarked space to park. Hence worrying whilst on our short break if the car would still be there on our return & not towed away.”
“Very disappointed that we could not get a parking space my wife his disabled and I had to leave her with case at the disabled bay while I drove round for about 10min to fine space and on way back had to leave her to go and get car. I would suggest you number bays for disabled Bay and take bookings.”
“In the past the parking has been really good, being a disabled driver, being able to park very close to the airport departure lounge. But this year proved very difficult because of building work on the hotel, a great number of disabled bays taken over for building materials. We had to park on the far side of the of the area having to walk a much greater distance with the luggage. DISSAPOINTED!”
“Easy to access however the parking was very very full took me over 20 minutes to secure a space and that was lucky someone was leaving. It’s also not the easiest to navigate when leaving the car park sections closed off. I think next time I’d rather not have the stress and just pay for a taxi”
“EASY BOOKING AND PARKING AND EXITING. Just one point we have a large mercedes sprinter van and use it to park at airports when our band travels to work abroad. sometimes using drop off But the recnet changes to car park height now mean we cannot use that to dropoff or pick up or even park. MANCHESTER has this same problem so have to use 2 vianos instead but its a shame as Liverpool used to be able to get bigger vehicles in close to drop off or long stay outdoor parking close to drop off but now we cannot.”
“This is the first time we have used the airport to travel on our holiday. My wife has a disabled badge and it would have been beneficial if I could have dropped her off outside the departure lounge as the disabled car park area was having ground work carried out. Walking with cases and a walking stick made moving from the car to the airport difficult. This was the same on our return although I was able to let my wife look after the cases in a small lay-by outside the exit of the car park.”
“We booked long stay car park. On arrival we found it very difficult to find a free space. After driving around for at least five minutes we managed to find a space right at the back of the car park. When we arrived back which was in the dark we found it quite difficult to find the exit. The signage was very poor directing you to the exit. If you use this car park regularly you probably wouldn’t have a problem exiting as you would know the route out.”
“Machine inside the airport did not print receipt for excess fee paid (required after flight was delayed due to industrial action) therefore unable to claim off travel insurance. The barrier would not raise trying to exit and took a while to get through to someone causing a que”
“The sign for disabled parking at the approach to carpark was not clearly visible , if there at all, and caused a certain amount of anxiety on arrival. It would have been more helpful if the ‘wheelchair’ sign was much more prominent.
Once we had entered the car park all the disabled spaces were occupied which would suggest that more should be made available.”
“Liverpool airport multi storey is where i chose to park for abusiness trip in April.
Pros..
Reasonable price of £63 for 3 days
Easy to find
Close to terminal building
Cons...
Very narrow spaces could be a problem for anyone with a car larger than a focus.”
“Decent experience, signage could be better, we struggled to find the way out and on the way back it was hard to find our car. Once we found the way to the airport it was fine.”
“Automatic number plate recognition worked well. There weren’t many parking spaces left but we found one on the upper level. The signage is very poor particularly for the pedestrian route and the e vehicle exit”
